N125YX
My first airplane and the aircraft that opened the door to a new chapter in flying.
N125YX was the first aircraft I personally owned. It was a two-seat Experimental Sonex Waiex that I purchased on October 28, 2018. I did not build the airplane, but owning and flying it gave me my first real experience with experimental aviation.
During the time I owned N125YX, I earned my tailwheel endorsement and flew it to EAA AirVenture in 2019 for my very first visit to Oshkosh — an experience that became one of the highlights of my aviation journey.
After nearly two years of ownership, I sold N125YX, and it left my hands on October 8, 2020. Although my time with the airplane was relatively short, it played an important role in shaping where aviation would take me next.

About N125YX
N125YX was a Sonex Waiex, a two-seat, low-wing Experimental Amateur-Built aircraft known for its distinctive Y-tail design, light handling, and efficient performance.
Although I did not build N125YX, owning and flying it gave me my first real exposure to the experimental aircraft world and helped shape my interest in eventually building an airplane of my own.
